Teaching The Attributes of God to the Visual Learner
We know that kids have different learning styles: Visual, Auditory, and Kinesthetic. The book The Way They Learn by Cynthia Ulrich Tobias is a great resource to better understand these styles.
If your child prefers to learn through their sense of sight (visual learning), here are some ideas for helping them learn the attributes of God!
- Flashcards – Print these attribute flashcards, or write your own on index cards. Have your child see how fast they can say them all!
- Who God is Board – Get a piece of poster board and write “Who God is” at the top. Print this list of attributes, cut them apart, and have your child glue them to the board as you learn each attribute. Hang the board in a place they see often!
- Quiz Time Page – The last page of each section in The Attributes of God for Kids, has a quiz page showing only the attribute icons. Have your child practice saying the attributes while looking at each icon.
- Printable verses – Print the verses associated with each attribute. Put in a frame or on the refrigerator so your family can memorize the verse and review the attributes of God together.
